Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process in a non-exempt, full-time capacity. The role features a 3pm-11pm shift with 32 hours weekly and alternating holidays, plus every-other-weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, and supervision of nursing staff within the unit. Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS must be current.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care in the unit.
• Delegates appropriately within competency.
