Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks an experienced RN to lead the coordination and delivery of quality patient care on a 24-bed Medical Telemetry Unit. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, delegate tasks, and document teaching of patients and families.

The role requires strong communication with the health care team, and participation in solving variances from patient goals while ensuring solutions are implemented.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver and document care and teaching.
• Delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team and participate in solving variances from patient goals.
