Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for our 3S Cardiac/Telemetry unit located at Ft. Thomas - Fort Thomas, KY. The position is part-time, 24 hours weekly, with a 7A-7P schedule.

You will join a team delivering compassionate care with on-the-job training, classroom orientation, and preceptored support to help you advance your nursing career in a Magnet-recognized system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of vital signs and body mechanics.
• General computer skills and applications.

Responsibilities

• The PCA coordinates and maintains clerical functions for a designated unit.
• Greet patients/visitors and answer calls with excellent service.
• Complete tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse tasks under supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
