Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse to deliver comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based care to telemetry patients with heart-related conditions. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and advocate for patients and families while collaborating with a diverse care team.

The role requires one year of RN experience, an ADN/Diploma or foreign equivalent, and an AZ RN license, with BLS and ACLS within six months.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Telemetry Nurse at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, you will care for Telemetry patients with an emphasis on patients with heart issues. This position will assess patient/family health problems and resources, while developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans. Your role is vital in promoting optimal health outcomes by balancing patient needs and comfort, demonstrating accountability for ethical behavior, and supporting ethical practices through astute issue resolution.

Every day you will provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, organizing and prioritizing patient activities with precision. You will serve as a patient advocate through holistic care practices, recognizing and adapting swiftly to changes in patient conditions (e.g., lab results, vitals). Utilizing the SBAR format for physician notification and performing bedside nurse-to-nurse reports are critical daily functions. You'll also participate in process and quality improvement activities, delegate tasks appropriately, and involve patients/families in their care plans using therapeutic communication, all while maintaining cultural sensitivity.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and interpersonal communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to recognize your scope of practice by seeking multidisciplinary collaboration and utilizing appropriate resources are essential.
