Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Neuro Telemetry Charge Nurse to oversee a department of frontline nurses, applying acuity-based staffing and evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality patient care in a growing facility in Gilbert, AZ. You will advocate for nurses, support professional development, and drive unit performance in collaboration with leadership.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, accountability, and leadership skills, plus RN licensure in AZ and ACLS/BLS

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty
• Current Registered Nurse license for AZ
• BLS required (American Heart Association)
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Mentors others in competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, safety goals and inservice education
• Evaluates care given by staff
• Coaches to improve care and outcomes
• Ensures standard of care is maintained
• Coordinates Ethics Consult process when needed

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Neuro Telemetry Charge Nurse at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will have an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your nursing team, or the needs of your unit. You'll advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education
• Evaluates care given by staff
• Coaches to improve care
• Ensures standard of care is maintained
• Exhibits a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understands and coordinates the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult

Job Requirements

• Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty
• Associate Of Nursing, Diploma, Foreign Equivalent
• Registered Nurse: AZ
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months

$42.85 - $63.77 /hour
