Brown University Health is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to provide continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms in a night shift role. Located at 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI, this 36-hour weekly full-time position supports rapid response and patient safety.

The technician will document rhythm strips, communicate changes to the clinical team, assist with equipment maintenance, and mentor new staff while upholding WOW care values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ECG interpretation training or equivalent on-the-job competency.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize critical rhythms and abnormalities.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient telemetry continuously, including cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Document rhythm strips and changes accurately.
• Communicate abnormalities promptly to clinical team.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients and enter data in system.
• Provide mentorship to new monitor technicians.
