Job summary

SEP Summit Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor ECG rhythm patterns from a centralized unit at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas.

The role involves interpreting rhythms, recognizing lethal arrhythmias, and escalating changes to bedside staff during 7PM–7AM shifts. Requires high school diploma or GED, SEH/SEP ECG training, and a telemetry certification; EPIC experience is preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Complete SEH/SEP ECG class and pass exam yearly minimum score of 85% and 100% on lethal arrhythmias
• Must have a valid driver’s license for travel between sites.
• Telemetry Technician Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring.
• Oversee and communicate cardiac patterns on telemetric devices.
• Document irregular rhythms and monitor changes in heartbeat in the EHR (EPIC).
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, staff and management.
• Assist in developing protocols, procedures, patient education and training as assigned.
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance and other committee functions.
• Process admissions, transfers, and discharge orders.
• Assist in orientation of new telemetry technician personnel.
