Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona seeks a Monitor Technician to provide continuous ECG monitoring for inpatient telemetry patients. You will work with nursing to ensure timely arrhythmia notifications and follow emergency procedures in a 24/7 inpatient setting.

You will complete Mayo Clinic's ECG competency after hire and support a high-acuity Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit. Competitive benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSAs, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be highly organized with advanced critical thinking.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Telemetry monitoring experience preferred.
• Completion of some college coursework preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) preferred.
• BLS certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring for inpatient telemetry patients.
• Maintain communication with nursing units regarding patient monitoring and arrhythmia notifications.
• Follow emergency procedures for critical code situations.
• Work in an inpatient hospital environment operating 365 days per year.
• Complete Mayo Clinic's ECG competency and monitor training course within designated time frame.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Some college coursework

Healthcare experience (preferred)

Medical terminology knowledge

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Telemetry monitoring experience (preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly organized with critical thinking
