Job summary

The role emphasizes collaboration with CNS and unit leadership, development of orientation and competency tools, and adherence to policies, with a focus on meeting UNE criteria and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program and active Georgia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience and at least 2 years in the concentration area.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required for certain departments.
• Must complete UNE criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire.
• If practicing virtual care, active compact/multistate license (eNLC) required within 60 days of hire; cross-state rules apply.
• Commitment to education and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff education and professional development initiatives.
• Plan and deliver adult-learning educational sessions.
• Mentor new and existing staff; develop competency checklists.
• Collaborate with CNS and Unit Director on educational needs assessments.
• Coordinate unit-based orientation programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and contribute to quality improvement.
