Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No previous experience required; previous direct patient care experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of professional nursing staff.
• Takes vital signs and assists with activities of daily living.
• Performs wound care, blood glucose monitoring, and specimen collection as needed.
• Documents patient care on the care continuum and reports changes to the nursing staff.
• Assists in admissions, transfers, and discharges; supports patient safety and comfort.
• Maintains patient rooms, supplies, and equipment; participates in hourly rounding.
• Responds to alarms and supports the care team to optimize patient flow.
