Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Night CNA to support the IU Medical Unit at Atrium Health Union. The role includes assisting with ADLs, vital signs, personal hygiene, and basic clinical tasks such as EKGs and venipuncture, while maintaining clean patient rooms and accurate records.

Responsibilities also cover clerical duties, supply inventory, and adherence to safety protocols. BLS and Nurse Aide certifications are required, with eligibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident's rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and instructs patient on safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, entering data and maintaining medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs duties as outlined in Nurse Aide I or II tasks.
• Performs technical tasks with training such as administering a 12-Lead Electrocardiogram and venipuncture.
