Advocate Health's Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a dynamic RN for its 9ST Cardiac Surgical Unit, a 48-bed adult cardiovascular unit collaborating with CVICU to care for heart surgery patients, transplants, and VAD cases.

Orientation occurs in two phases, with emphasis on specialized cardiac care. Qualified candidates hold an accredited nursing program, a valid RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Strong interest and passion for cardiac care.
• A commitment to teamwork, communication, and continual professional growth.
• 1+ year experience for day shift in acute care nursing.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
