Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a high-performing Cardiac Surgery team. You will deliver comprehensive perioperative care, perform histories and examinations, order tests, and assist in procedures as part of a multidisciplinary academic unit.

The role involves a rotating day/night schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, covering ICU, floor, and outpatient needs.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) board certification.
• Current Massachusetts license; ACLS and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document complete histories and physical examinations; formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests and imaging studies.
• Participate in daily inpatient rounds; evaluate patients and document progress notes.
• Request consultations and communicate effectively with consulting services.
• Assist in surgical and other invasive procedures as applicable.

Education
