Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. The role rotates between floor and ICU with possible training and rotation to the cardiac surgery OR for qualified candidates.

Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should have critical care experience and be able to practice autonomously while utilizing POCUS when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute Care, or Adult with previous critical care experience.
• NP can only be considered for the OR if they have their RNFA certification.
• Physician Assistants need to have graduated from an accredited PA program.

Responsibilities

• Possess effective time management and critical care skills.
• Adapt to a large volume of acute patient population.
• Perform/assist with central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements.
• Work autonomously, making treatment decisions to move patient care forward.
• Experience with POCUS is preferred.
• Work to the full extent of licensure.
