Job summary

PIH Health in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Registered Nurse to perform safe and effective cardiac stress testing and related diagnostic procedures in a hospital setting. You will also conduct pacemaker checks, monitor arrhythmias, and prepare patients for TEEs, cardioversions, tilt-table tests, and blood pressure monitoring. The position requires a CA RN license, BCLS and ACLS, and at least one year of critical care experience.

LA Fire Card within six months is preferred. BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
• BCLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of Critical Care experience.
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and effective cardiac stress tests (treadmills, thallium treadmill, pharmacologic stress tests, stress echocardiograms).
• Conduct pacemaker checks and arrhythmia surveillance monitoring.
• Prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures including TEEs, cardioversions, tilt-table tests, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Deliver individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family.
• Comply with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.
