Job summary

South Shore Health & Educational Corporation is seeking an EKG Technician to perform electrocardiograms, assist with cardiac stress testing, and manage data across Muse and Case systems at the Weymouth, MA facility. The role supports physicians, maintains equipment, and ensures accurate patient labeling and billing.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years in cardiology or medical assisting, high school education, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic EKG interpretation skills.
• Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/EMT or equivalent with vital signs experience preferred.
• High school education required or preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification and ACLS training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs in multiple settings with correct lead placement and quality tracings.
• Assists physicians with Cardiac Stress Testing.
• Identifies patients and labels data accurately.
• Maintains EKG and Stress carts and equipment.
• Manages inventory for EKG services and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Trains new staff and students in EKG procedures.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and patient interaction.
• Performs clerical duties and reports printing/billing tasks.
• Handles billing for Holter and stress testing in Meditech.
• Meets performance goals and participates in ongoing education.
• Operates Muse, Case, and Seers systems for data management.
• Adheres to safety protocols and code procedures.
