Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Unit to provide complex post-operative care, monitor patients with telemetry, manage wounds, and administer medications.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Unit

Provide complex post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients in a stepdown setting. Perform continuous assessment and telemetry monitoring, administer medications, and manage surgical wounds. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans and ensure care remains safe, evidence-based, and patient-focused.

Key Duties

• Continuously monitor patient status using telemetry and ongoing assessments


• Administer medications and deliver post-operative nursing interventions


• Provide wound and post-surgical site care


• Develop and implement nursing care plans


• Educate patients and families on care needs and recovery

Qualifications & Skills
