Job summary

Live Well Homecare in Scranton is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a cardiac step-down unit. You will provide direct patient care, perform treatments and medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate care plans.

The role requires specialty nursing training and experience in cardiac care, including titrating IV medications, BiPAP/CPAP, and high‑flow oxygen.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
• Experience in Cardiac Special Care, including titrating medication IVs, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity environment with critical care skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, following established policies and procedures.
• Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
• Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family needs management.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff, delegate tasks appropriately, and adjust assignments based on patient acuity.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and evidence-based practice decision-making.
• Troubleshoot equipment, promote teamwork, and support organizational safety and safety initiatives.
