Job summary

DeTar Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Victoria, Texas. You will work with physicians, nurses, and allied staff to deliver quality care, follow clinical protocols, and support patients and families through the care continuum.

The role requires strong assessment skills, adherence to safety standards, and flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure required with current state license.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with the nursing process and policies.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings; report changes to the care team.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor for side effects and document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within the scope of competency.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
