Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Specialty Unit in Kansas. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, covering pre-operative and post-operative care and advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role offers a 3x12 night shift schedule (7P–7A) with opportunities for skill growth, professional development, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of nursing.
• Current license as a registered nurse (state license or compact).
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS); ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical team.
• Document care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Night shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7P–7A) with growth opportunities and supportive leadership.
