Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our CVOR team. You will provide expert perioperative care in a four-OR cardiothoracic suite, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, 3–5 years OR experience with CVOR, ACLS, and RN licensure. Scrub and circulator experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • 3–5 years of OR experience is required.
  • 2+ years CVOR experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Open heart procedures (CABG, valve) and vascular/endovascular cases is required.
  • Prior scrub and/or circulator CVOR experience is preferred.
  • ACLS certification within 180 days required.
  • RN licensure is required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and documents per policy.
  • Develops and updates individualized plans of care based on assessments and outcomes.
  • Provides safe, patient-centered care while advocating for patient rights and diversity.
  • Prioritizes workload and responds to changes in patient condition; initiates emergency interventions.
  • Implements nursing interventions and patient education; coordinates care with multidisciplinary team.
  • Interprets physician orders accurately and applies clinical judgment.
  • Evaluates outcomes and revises plans of care with patients and families.
  • Delegates and supervises care to ensure quality and safety.

Full Time Day Shift - TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital
Location:

10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242

Work Schedule:
  • - Full Time Days (36 hrs/week)
  • - 6am - 6pm, have flexibility to work 8s, 10s or 12s
  • - Team members select their weekend call averaging 2 weekend days every six weeks
  • - Varying day shifts

Join our nationally recognized cardiovascular Surgery team and make a meaningful impact in life-saving patient care. The CVOR consists of four cardiothoracic operating rooms and two hybrid rooms, supporting a comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgery program. The team is highly cohesive across the entire CVOR and all disciplines, fostering a collaborative, family ‑ like environment where everyone works well together. Surgical volumes have steadily increased over the past 2–5 years, reflecting program growth, stability, and ongoing opportunities within a strong and well ‑ supported cardiac and thoracic service line.

Job Requirements:
  • - Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • - Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant OR experience required
  • - Two or more years of CVOR experience strongly preferred
  • - Experience with Open heart procedures (CABG, valve replacement/repair) as well as with vascular and endovascular cases required
  • - Prior experience in a scrub and/or circulator role within CVOR
  • - Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
  • - ACLS within 180 Days Required
  • - Registered Nurse licensure required
