Job summary

Great Basin College seeks a qualified Cardiac Sonography Instructor and Clinical Coordinator to lead the new cardiac-vascular emphasis within the Comprehensive Medical Imaging program. You will translate clinical echocardiography expertise into classroom, lab, and clinical learning experiences, shaping outcomes and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in cardiac sonography.
• Bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography, cardiac sonography, or related field.
• Two years of professional clinical experience in cardiac sonography or echocardiography.
• Credentials such as RDCS or RCS.
• Experience with curriculum development and accreditation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach sonography courses, including didactic and clinical labs.
• Collaborate on curriculum design and program assessment.
• Establish and evaluate student competencies in echocardiography and cardiac anatomy.
• Participate in accreditation activities and program planning.
• Advise and mentor students regarding academic progress and clinical expectations.
• Travel to other GBC campuses as needed.
