Qualifications

Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing, including 2D echo / Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Follow directives from the manager, supervisor, or lead sonographer. Provide complex technical care using ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensure all documentation and preliminary exam findings are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent experience per Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
• Experience: None required, but two years of related hospital inpatient or outpatient cardiac sonography experience is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required. Credential in echocardiography such as RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Preferred: Two years of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer.
