Qualifications

• 1-year technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform M-Mode, Two-Dimensional, Doppler, and Color Flow Doppler Echocardiograms.
• Assist the Cardiologist in interpreting Echocardiograms.
• Ensure optimal department functioning for timely test interpretation.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Technologist is responsible for performing echocardiography tests/procedures in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography standards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Perform M-Mode, Two-Dimensional, Doppler, and Color Flow Doppler Echocardiograms
• Assist the Cardiologist in the interpretation and reading of the Echocardiograms
• Perform adult testing procedures
• Perform various duties to ensure optimal department functioning and proper flow of information and services to physicians for timely test interpretation and patient treatment plans
• Perform work in a manner that reduces the risk of transmission of infection to patients, self, and co-workers

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required:

• Completion of training by an accredited school for performing Cardiac Sonography
• Registered Cardiac Sonographers (RCS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• 1-year technical experience (preferred)
