UW Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for a position in MADISON, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

Work Schedule:

20% PRN, part-time position with weekend or weekday day shifts. Call rotation required. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

Pay:

  • This position may be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

  • Provide exceptional cardiovascular imaging services within a dynamic team.
  • Utilize advanced technology supporting a robust structural heart program, including procedures like transcatheter valve replacements, Watchman, MitraClip, and alcohol septal ablation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient experiences.
  • Work at our accredited Cardiovascular Imaging Lab (IAC accreditation for Echo and Vascular Imaging).
  • Operate across various locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care units, and clinics in Madison.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an ultrasonography program (required).
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences (preferred).
Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of echocardiography experience (preferred).
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) upon hire (required).
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification upon hire (required).
  • Additional registration in vascular ultrasound (RCS, RDCS, RVT, or RVS) (preferred).
