The successful candidate will have cardiology sonography training and certification, experience in supervising staff, and strong communication with patients and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Sonography with required clinical hours.
• Two years of relevant experience or graduate of Bachelor degree program.
• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS); BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead imaging team and coordinate daily operations.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac imaging.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program. Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI(RCS); Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage schedules, and coordinate daily operations.
• Capability to make informed decisions regarding imaging procedures, patient care, and team management.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as performing imaging procedures while supervising team members.
• Knowledge in proficiency producing diagnostic images with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities
• Knowledge of a variety of advanced procedures as applicable
• Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation, machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
• Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
