Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm, rotating shifts, 1 weekend/month, some call. $4k sign-on bonus for 1 year commitment.

Job Summary/Purpose: The Cardiac Sonographer I reports to the Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor. Under general supervision, performs high-quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Cardiologist, following hospital and departmental policies. Applies knowledge of clinical cardiology, acoustic imaging technology, and problem-solving skills to optimize evaluations, ensuring comprehensive and accurate exams. Organizes and prioritizes patient exams, contributes to teamwork, and assists in training residents, students, and visitors.
The Cardiac Sonographer II, also reporting to the Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor, performs similar duties with a focus on independent and efficient exam execution, organization, and training contributions.
Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from a Cardiovascular/Ultrasound program or equivalent experience. Registry eligibility for ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) preferred. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. New graduates must obtain certification within one year. Experience in cardiac ultrasound procedures and knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics are desired.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
Additional Job Description: Requires 2-4 years of experience, with proficiency in cardiac ultrasound techniques and knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform job functions involving standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working in various environments, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have good vision, hearing, and tactile sensory functions, and be able to work rotating shifts and overtime.
