Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I to perform and record echocardiology diagnostic tests under supervision. The role ensures quality exams and accurate results while delivering patient-centered care across age groups.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate in allied health that is patient care related or bachelor's degree (any major) OR Completion of an Accredited Sonographer Program OR Approved by ARDMS/CCI to sit for certification.
• Licensure/ Certification: BLS required before providing patient care; must obtain ARDMS( or CCI) certification within 2 years of hire or credentialed within 2 years if in accredited lab.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in applied science Diagnostic Services.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records echocardiology diagnostic tests under proctoring/supervision.
• Ensures echocardiogram exams are of acceptable quality and records results.
• Provides patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
