Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Illinois seeks a Cardiac Sonographer I to perform and record echocardiology tests under supervision. You will obtain information used to diagnose disease and ensure exam quality, while delivering patient care appropriate to ages served.

Requirements include an allied health degree or bachelor’s, ARDMS/CCI eligibility within 2 years, BLS, and strong interpersonal skills. OSF offers education benefits, PSLF, a 401(k) match, and well-being time.

Qualifications

• Associate in allied health or bachelor’s degree (any major) or completion of an Accredited Sonographer Program.
• ARDMS/CCI eligibility to sit for certification within two years of hire.
• BLS required before patient care; willingness to obtain ARDMS/CCI credentials.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; detail oriented with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records Echocardiology diagnostic tests under proctoring/supervision.
• Obtains information about normal/abnormal anatomy to aid diagnosis.
• Ensures echocardiogram exams are of acceptable quality and documents results.
• Provides patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
