Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program.
• ARDMS or CCI cardiac sonographer certification required; Registry-eligible hires must certify within 12 months.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic procedures following provider orders and documents findings.
• Provides preliminary findings to supervising physicians and cardiologists.
• Educates patients and families about procedures and what to expect.
• Maintains equipment quality control and adheres to safety policies.
• Acts as a clinical resource and trains staff and students in echocardiographic techniques.
