Job summary

OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging, including echocardiograms and vascular studies. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate report preparation, and quality assurance within the Cardiac Imaging Lab.

The position is casual/PRN, located on site at Mansfield Hospital, with responsibilities spanning imaging, documentation, equipment maintenance, and coordination with physicians. BLS and relevant allied health training are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum in a two year allied, patient related healthcare program (i.e., sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN).
• RDCS or RCS registration or eligible with registration obtained within 12 months of hire.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• 50% Performs ultrasound imaging (echocardiograms, vascular studies).
• 20% Prepares required reports.
• 10% Maintains files.
• 10% Maintains equipment.
• 5% Handles telephone to schedule and provide information.
• 5% Reviews echocardiogram results with physicians and performs quality assurance.

Job Description Summary: The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the hospital. This is a casual (as needed/PRN) position located at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

• 50% Performs ultrasound imaging.

• Provides needed statistics.
• 5% Handles telephone to schedule and provide information.
• 5% Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities.
