Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform echocardiography procedures, including stress echocardiograms, in a high-volume cardiology lab.

You will participate in on-call rotations, maintain safety during testing, and ensure accurate documentation and data exchange with clinical systems. New grads welcome with a competitive pay range and a $6,750 sign-on bonus for new hires not in the network.

Qualifications

• Proficient in echocardiography procedures and department protocols.
• Experience with diagnostic exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms beneficial.
• Ability to retrieve data from clinical and financial systems and document tests accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs all echocardiography testing procedures listed in department protocols.
• Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms and provides data for physician diagnosis.
• Responds to cardiac arrests as required and participates in on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoots technical methods of echocardiography as necessary.
• Ensures a safe testing environment in daily operations.
• Communicates effectively to promote teamwork and documentation in the medical record.

Job Description

• -Performs all testing procedures in echocardiography listed in the department protocols.
• - Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms. In doing so, produces accurate clinical information used by the cardiologist for the diagnosis of cardiac medical disorders.
• - Responsible for responding to cardiac arrests as required.
• - Responsible for participating in the on call rotation
• - Troubleshoots technical methods of echocardiography as necessary.
• - Ensures a safe testing environment in all daily operations.
• - Demonstrates ability to retrieve and send data utilizing the clinical and financial information systems.
• - Understands physician orders and appropriate documentation.
• - Ensures adequate documentation in the medical record, test report according to department policy and procedures.
• - Communicates, orally and in writing, effectively to promote teamwork and team problem solving efforts.
• - Adapts to and works effectively in a variety of situations and settings, for example, special precautions disabled and dialysis patients.
• - Provides explanation of prep for testing procedures.

Pay Range

$46.00 - $68.35

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
