Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography is preferred.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• RCS through CCI or RDCS through ARDMS is required.
• Previous Cardiac Sonographer experience is preferred.
• NH Medical Imaging License required upon hire for NH locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), portable studies, and contrast/bubble studies while acquiring diagnostic images.
• Assess patient histories and prep for procedures to ensure correct exam protocols and patient safety.
• Prepare accurate preliminary reports and communicate findings to interpreting physicians promptly.
• Maintain equipment and exam rooms, adhering to infection prevention and privacy policies.
• Ensure patient comfort and a positive experience through proper positioning and scanning techniques.
• Participate in quality improvement, accreditation activities, scheduling, and workflow coordination.

Education

Associate's degree in Sonography

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS

Medical Imaging License NH (OPLC) required upon hire
