Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join a dynamic hospital-based cardiovascular team in Virginia Beach. The role offers exposure to a wide range of advanced cardiac procedures and collaboration with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams across multiple patient care areas.

The position requires an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, RDCS or RCS certification, and a minimum of one year in echocardiography with current BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires RDCS or RCS certification and a degree in cardiovascular technology.
• Minimum one year of echocardiography experience.
• BLS certification and hospital setting experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies following established protocols.
• Transthoracic, Stress, Transesophageal echocardiograms and Doppler studies.
• Support imaging needs across multiple patient care settings (Cardiac NIC, Cath Lab, EP Lab, OR, ICU).
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams during diagnostic and procedural cases.
• Educate patients on procedures and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain imaging quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies following established protocols
• Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Stress Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), & Doppler ultrasound studies
• Support imaging needs across multiple patient care settings, including: Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, Cath Lab, EP Lab, Operating Room (OR) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams during diagnostic and procedural cases
• Educate patients on procedures and answer questions to ensure a positive experience
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain imaging quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer)
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum one year of echocardiography experience
• Experience working in a hospital environment
