Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for its Rockford location. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited sonographer program and must have a high school diploma or equivalent. BLS certification and registration as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer are required within two years of hire.

The position offers a competitive pay and benefits package, including up to $15,000 sign-on bonus, PTO, medical, dental, vision, and tuition assistance among other benefits.

Work Schedule

80% FTE, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:40 pm. Occasional on‑call. Work location: UW Health Swedish American Hospital, 1401 E State St. Eligibility for up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonographer training program. Preferred.
• Must provide copy of high school diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required.

Work Experience

• Previous cardiac sonography experience. Preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Must obtain registration as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer through either the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within two years of hire date. Required.
• BLS. Required.
