  • Support exceptional patient experiences through proper positioning and scanning.
  • Contribute to department quality and workflow improvements.

Job Summary

New hires may be eligible for a $20,000.00 sign on bonus!Starting rate is $47/hour. Hourly pay is based on experience, education, and certifications, plus additional differentials, premiums, and incentives where applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Comprehensive Cardiac Ultrasound Exams Independently perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), portable cardiac ultrasound studies, and contrast/bubble studies while acquiring diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Assess and Prepare Patients for Procedures Review patient histories, prior imaging, and clinical information to ensure appropriate exam protocols and deliver safe, patient-centered care.
  • Document and Communicate Findings Prepare accurate preliminary reports and communicate relevant findings to interpreting physicians in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Safety, Quality, and Compliance Standards Prepare equipment and exam rooms, adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and comply with all privacy, departmental, and hospital policies.
  • Support Exceptional Patient Experiences Utilize proper positioning and ergonomic scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Contribute to Departmental Excellence Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities, assist with scheduling and workflow coordination, and meet established productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Sonography preferred
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS required
  • Previous experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred
  • New Hampshire locations: Medical Imaging License through the State of New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure & Certification (OPLC) required upon hire
