Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac RN to provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. You will participate in therapeutic communication, coordinate care, and contribute to performance improvement efforts in a busy hospital setting.

The role emphasizes patient and family education, collaborative planning with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to safety standards in a Level I trauma center environment.

Qualifications

• One year of registered nurse experience required.
• Acute Care RN experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs.
• Document patient conditions using the facility's systems.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care plan.
• Identify nursing problems and develop individualized care plans with an interdisciplinary team.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assess plans and evaluate the patients care needs and will carry out physician orders.
• You will administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• You will monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will instruct and educate patients and families as part of part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient and plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing
• Current Licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Current BLS
• One year of registered nurse experience required
• Acute Care RN experience preferred

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center.
