CommonSpirit Memorial in Tennessee is seeking a Cardiac Nurse to care for patients with life-threatening cardiac events and support families through daily care and transition plans.

You will monitor vitals, escalate concerns to a multidisciplinary team, and provide education to patients and families. The role offers opportunities for ongoing education and professional growth in a respected hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing—upon hire.
• Registered Nurse (TN)—upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR)—upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)—within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Monitor vitals and detect acute changes, escalating to cardiology team.
• Administer IV therapies and medications, ensuring patient safety.
• Manage rapidly changing clinical situations with assessment and prioritization.
• Provide patient comfort and advocate for dignity throughout care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan of care, and follow‑up.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Nurse, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long‑term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.

You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail‑oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills. To further support your nursing career, we offer continuing education opportunities to help you advance your clinical nursing skills.

• Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).
• Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients’ rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).
• Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).
• Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).
• Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient’s readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient’s condition and their interpretation of his or her illness).

$34.69 - $51.59 /hour
