Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Technician to support patient transport and continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring during transport. The role also assists with operating room cleanliness, specimen transport, and general facility support.

The position requires basic cardiac rhythm training and CPR within 60 days of hire, with responsibilities spanning monitoring, safe transport, and coordination with OR staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic cardiac dysrhythmia training or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia training course upon hire is required.
• CPR certification within 60 days of hire may be required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients throughout the facility, including those on cardiac monitors, to testing sites and back.
• Performs continuous observation, interpretation, and communication of cardiac rhythms for transported patients.
• Assists in maintaining a clean operating room environment under OR staff direction.
• Transports specimens safely to the appropriate laboratory or department.
• Maintains transportation equipment in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
