Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Day shift Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehabilitation. The RN will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, educate patients and families, and document care in the EMR.

Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license with BLS; BSN is preferred. Critical Care experience is REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (EPIC)
• Critical Care experience is REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early and advocating for patients
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care with strong clinical judgment
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely, coordinated care decisions
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for informed care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and assist in smooth transitions of care
• Support continued professional growth through education, clinical ladder opportunities and organizational resources
