Job summary

CLS Health in Texas seeks an experienced cardiac rehab RN or clinical exercise physiologist to build and manage our cardiac rehabilitation program. The role includes developing clinical workflows, patient education, documentation processes, and daily operations in collaboration with the clinic and medical directors, ensuring patient safety and program quality as patients progress.

The coordinator will establish program protocols, coordinate patient flow, and align with billing and certification

Qualifications

• An RN with an active Texas license or valid multistate license, or a CEP with a related degree.
• At least two years of direct cardiac rehabilitation experience.
• Experience with monitored exercise, ECG interpretation, risk stratification and individualized plans.
• Familiarity with Medicare cardiac rehab requirements and CPT 93798 documentation.
• Experience tracking clinical and operational performance to improve results.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient intake, review physician orders and qualifying diagnoses for participation.
• Perform initial assessments, risk stratification, and guide exercise within the physician plan.
• Monitor ECG, vitals, symptoms and exercise response; intervene when needed.
• Maintain accurate session documentation and discharge records within deadlines.
• Collaborate with clinic director and medical director on protocols and staffing.
• Educate patients on exercise, risk factors, and strategies for recovery.
