Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a qualified exercise professional to teach exercise classes and conduct fitness assessments within the continuum of care. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preferred Master's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, Adult Health & Fitness or related field is required.
• Master's degree in Exercise Science/Physiology with concentration in cardiac health is preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications are required or within a stated timeline.

Responsibilities

• Teach exercise classes for patients across care continuum.
• Administer fitness testing and evaluate patient progress.
• Develop and implement exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab.
• Provide education to patients and families on benefits of exercise and healthy living.
• Supervise exercise programs and deliver emergency medical care per established protocols.
