Job summary

Focus on education, lifestyle modification, and safe transitions from hospital to independent exercise. Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology, a 300+ hour internship in cardiac rehab, knowledge of ECG

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
• 300+ hour internship in cardiac rehabilitation or equivalent clinical/patient hours.
• Knowledge of cardiac/pulmonary physiology and ECG interpretation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s functional abilities and develops a plan of care and exercise goals.
• Implements individualized exercise plans based on patient needs and abilities.
• Educates patients and families on discharge guidelines, risk factors, and home programs.
• Documents patient treatment under professional standards.
• Follows plan of care and communicates with supervisor on unusual situations.
• Maintains safety and confidentiality for patients and staff.
