Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Cardiac Rehabilitation in Rockville, MD seeks a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) to develop individualized exercise prescriptions and oversee fitness evaluations for clients. You will design programs to improve strength, endurance, and flexibility while monitoring progress and safety.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology (or equivalent), 1 year of experience, and ACSM certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent is required.
1 year experience is required.
ACSM certification is required.
Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
ACLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Develop individualized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
Design customized exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals.
Perform detailed fitness evaluations, needs analysis, and progress notes for all clients.
Provide corrective coaching on posture and countermeasures during training and assessment.
Conduct stress evaluations and monitor ECG/BP response to stress.
Supervise and monitor patient progress, goals, and treatment plans.
Instruct patients on home exercise programs.
Work in a fast-paced outpatient cardiac rehabilitation environment with multiple clients.
