Job summary

PeaceHealth SHMC at Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab for a part-time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $31.60 – $47.40 per hour, with hiring dependent on education, experience, and bargaining terms.

Responsible for direct patient care in inpatient or outpatient cardiac, pulmonary and vascular rehab. Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to develop, implement, and monitor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science or related field.
• Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification
• Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial patient interview and assessment; develops individualized treatment plan for cardiac/pulmonary rehab.
• Case manages entire cardiac rehab program; assesses and re-assesses patient progress and documents data.
• Develops safe exercise prescriptions for diverse patients with comorbidities; collaborates with care team.
• Provides counseling on test results, home exercise programs, and risk factors.
• Develops and implements educational programs for patients and families.
• Assists in developing wellness programs and special events.
• Assists in policy, procedures, protocols, and outcome measures.
