Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in Ohio is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU).

The unit handles NSTEMI, post STEMI/cardiac arrest, post-cath, acute coronary syndrome, and related conditions, with a supportive leadership team and opportunity to grow in intermediate and progressive care nursing. The role emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based practice, and teamwork in a Magnet-recognized environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio; For Casual RNs, 2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence based practice.
• Collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components.
• Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Keeps patient/family apprised/updated.
• Documents accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.
