Mount Carmel Health System’s Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) in Ohio provides specialized nursing care for cardiac patients in a 30-bed unit. RNs assess, plan, and coordinate care for post‑PCI, NSTEMI, PCI recovery, and other complex cardiac conditions in a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, documentation, and adherence to nursing standards, with opportunities for professional growth and leadership within the Magnet-recognized program.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.
• All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience are subject to participate and will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence based practice.
• Collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components.
• Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Keeps patient/family apprised/updated.
• Documents accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.
