Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Procedural Holding area at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. This part-time, day-shift role focuses on direct patient care for cardiac patients with telemetry needs, following policies and protocols.

The ideal candidate has cardiovascular nursing experience, an associate degree (BSN preferred), CT RN license, and BLS. Expect collaboration across disciplines and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in cardiovascular nursing.
• Two years of Med-Surgical/CCU experience preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Delegates care to other nursing personnel.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary rounds.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
• Engages in professional growth activities.
