Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a Post Cardiac Technician to assist in patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

The role includes venous and arterial sheath removals, patient record updates, and maintaining a well-organized workflow on the Cardiac Post Procedure unit at Berkeley Hospital. Ideal candidates have prior cardiac PCT experience, a CNA credential, and the ability to work 40 hours/week on day shifts, with orientation at RSF’s downtown facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED with Fundamentals of Nursing course or a Nursing Assistant Program.
• Current CNA certification (or equivalent) with RN supervision experience.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED with nursing/PA support experience in acute care or nursing home.
• Direct patient care experience (vital signs and ADL duties) in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated direct patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Reports patient changes or abnormal findings to the RN.
• Documents vital signs and ADLs and notifies RN of variations.
• Provide nursing care with respect for patient rights and diversity.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and infection control standards.
