Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking a registered nurse for a 12-hour night shift at Duke University Hospital. You will plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and hospital policies.

Lead and delegate care, document interventions, and support staff development while maintaining a high standard of care. A BSN and NC RN licensure with BLS are required, with 12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and established policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit.
